EVERY LAS PALMAS STUDENT IS EXPECTED
TO BE IN FULL SCHOOL UNIFORM EVERY DAY!
Our school uses school uniforms to:
-
promote student safety by identifying Las Palmas students easily
-
build a sense of belonging by making students feel connected to their school community
-
focus on learning by avoiding disctractions with clothing brands and colors
-
facilitate morning routines by making it easy to know what to wear to school each day
-
reduce the cost for families by spending money on just a few types of school clothes
TOPS: White or Navy, with collar
School Spirit T-Shirts may also be worn
BOTTOMS: Blue, Black, or Khaki
DRESS TO IMPRESS...DRESS FOR SUCCESS!!!
Reminder about UNIFORM TOPS:
- shirts must have a collar
- outerwear (sweaters, jackets, coats) may be any color
- clothing with any inapporpriate or offensive images, language, etc. are prohibited
- please review our Twin Rivers Student and Family Handbook for Dress Code Guidelines and Standards
Reminder about UNIFORM BOTTOMS:
- bottoms must be solid color (no patterns)
- intentionally torn, ripped, or shredded bottoms are prohibited
Reminder about FOOTWEAR:
- Shoes must cover the entire foot (no slippers, no sandals, no open-toes shoes)
- Students must be able to do physical education activities in their shoes (running, jumping, etc.)
- High heels and shoes with wheels are not allowed
Excessive make-up, fake fingernails, and hoop or long earrings are not allowed
Safety and focus on learning is our highest priority and it should be your child's highest priority when coming to school.
PLEASE NOTE: If the school provides a uniform shirt to a student because they are not complying wiht our Uniform Policy, we can require students to wear the uniform shirt while at school. If a student comes to school out of uniform, they will be given a reminder about our uniform policy and may be given a uniform to wear while at school. A message will also be sent home reminding parents of our uniform policy. We appreciate your support...please make sure your student comes to school in school uniform EVERY DAY.
